To plan and implement a safe, professional and cost effective scientific drilling and core recovery operation utilizing sound drilling practices and principles to achieve the goals and objectives of the scientific community.

• To ensure all legs are executed in a safe manner and achieve the scientific objectives of the cruise.
• To ensure all legs are planned utilizing a standardized methodology for improved operational and engineering reference.
• To ensure equipment to achieve the scientific objectives of each leg is optimized for operational efficiencies and cost and is requisitioned on time for delivery to the port call.
