Welcome to the unofficial web site of ODP Leg 176 (Indian Ocean). We apologize for the somewhat spartan layout of this site, it is brought to you via satellite uplink (expensive!) at approximately 1-week intervals.These web pages are intended to give you an idea of life onboard the JOIDES Resolution as it has unfolded for us over the course of this leg. There will be approximately weekly updates, mostly containing pictures taken on board of the crew, staff, and scientists of the Resolution.
For those of you hoping to find out details of our scientific progress (like whether we drilled into something starting with the letter M), sorry, you have to wait for the press conference.
