The high Nb-Ta peak eliminates an IAT source, as it has for all the basalt clasts. Parallelism with the E-MORB and CFB again suggests that these provinces and the positive Sr and Eu peaks reflect the presence of the plagioclase phenocrysts in this clast. The typical Rb, K, Ba, and, to a lesser extent, U peaks appear to have been added by seafloor weathering. The reason for the P peak is not understood.
