CHAP_19 (Chapter 19):
All of the raw data files from the Leg 162 spectral reflectance measurements have been processed. The processed data are available in two different levels of resolution: 10-nm averages and 50-nm averages.
TABLE_2 comprises the processed, shipboard four-band reflectance files from Leg 162. The data in the 4BND_REF subdirectory are available in blocked average form. These data include 50-nm band averages in the UV, Blue, Red, and nIR as described in the Leg 162 Initial Reports volume. The subdirectory 4BND_SPL contains splices with meters composite depth (mcd) information generated from the four-band files for each hole.
TABLE_3 comprises the processed 10-nm band averaged reflectance files for Leg 162. Splice files have been generated for all the sites that have a shipboard reflectance splice (Sites 980–986). Each record occupies a single line. For reading the data into a spreadsheet, the data are white-space column delimited. For files in the 10NM_BND subdirectory, there are 79 columns: a nine-column header followed by 70 columns of reflectance data. For files in the 10NM_SPL subdirectory, there are 80 columns: a nine-column ODP header followed by 70 columns of reflectance data, then the mcd column. The wavelengths of the reflectance and first-derivative bands are given in the file BANDWAVE.TXT, which can be found in the TABLE_4 directory.
TABLE_4 comprises the processed reflectance first-derivative files for Leg 162. Splice files have been generated for all the sites that have a shipboard reflectance splice (Sites 980–986). Each record occupies a single line. For reading the data into a spreadsheet, the data are white-space column delimited. For files in the 10NM_FST subdirectory, there are 77 columns: a nine-column header followed by 68 columns of reflectance first-derivative data. For files in the 10NM_SPL subdirectory, there are 78 columns: a nine-column ODP header followed by 68 columns of reflectance data, then the mcd column. The wavelengths of the reflectance and first-derivative bands are given in the file BANDWAVE.TXT.
