The CLAYEY SILTSTONE intervals are less well indurated than the FINE SANDSTONE intervals; the FINE SANDSTONE intervals are better preserved than the CLAYEY SILTSTONE intervals. Recrystallized pyrite (0.1 to 0.2 mm in diameter) is present in Section 169-1036C-6X-1, 10 cm and weak pyrite dissemination is present throughout the core. Many of the FINE SANDSTONES are anhydrite- cemented.
