Figure F109. Breccia with fragments of altered, flow banded volcanic rock. The breccia is clast-supported (cf. Fig. F108). The brecciated rock is crosscut by a feeble but dense silica vein network. Note also the late anhydrite vein (arrow), crosscutting the vein network in the fragments, running downward from right to left at 29 cm (Section 193-1189B-15R-1 [Piece 4, 25-34 cm]; 166.35 mbsf).
