Note that compared to the average serpentinized peridotite clasts, the muds from both legs have higher TiO2, Al2O3, and CaO (typically all with abundances of up to several weight percent in MORBs, but only trace amounts in depleted mantle peridotites). Average concentrations are given in weight percent for oxides and LOI and in parts per million for all other elements.
