This volume contains supplementary data files presented in Microsoft PowerPoint and ASCII. The PowerPoint files present all the petrographic features of volcanic basement at Site 1224. The first four files deal mainly with petrographic definitions and the classification of the massive lava flows (phenocrysts and groundmass); the next two files deal with pillow-related features; and the last two files deal mainly with alteration.
