Among holes drilled into peridotite and gabbroic rocks, Hole 1275C, drilled with resistivity-at-the-bit-while-coring (RAB-C) equipment, had the worst recovery (0.22 m curated length in 20.8 m of penetration), whereas Hole 1275D, ~3 m away from Hole 1275C but drilled with conventional rotary core barrel (RCB) equipment, had the best recovery (7.9 m curated length in 17.6 m of penetration).
