Figure 13. Many amygdules in altered dacite are filled by mosaic quartz ± pyrite ± anhydrite. In this photomicrograph they are < 1 mm, and elongate amygdules define a general orientation of alignment (interval 193-1188F-1Z-3, 86–89 cm; field of view = 2.75 mm).
