Objective: Center site in a transect of three sites on the west wall of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge rift valley sampling serpentinized peridotite from near the ridge segment center north of the 15°20'N Fracture Zone to near the segment end.
Drilling Program: Single bit penetration as deep as possible or 300 mbsf.
Logging Program: Two logging runs, triple combo and FMS-sonic if hole conditions permit.
Nature of Rock Anticipated: Serpentinized peridotite.
