This proposed project is under development. The goal is to devise a system which facilitates the work of scientists who describe cores onboard the JOIDES Resolution, incorporates the results of their work into the JANUS database, and generates a publishable "barrel-sheet'' equivalent. The software development work, if funds are available, could begin as early as FY97.
