Fine-grained sediments from turbidity currents draining the margin are entrained in, and deposited from, gentle ambient southwest flowing bottom currents. Channels to the northeast supply this drift, and its steep, unstable southwest slope is maintained by turbidity currents flowing down the next channel to the southwest.
