A Philips ADP 3520 X-ray Diffractometer and associated software allows for powder diffraction analysis of minerals and rock powders with software that has peak-matching, mineral and other chemical compound identification facilities. In addition, the freeware package MacDiff is available onboard for user friendly processing and analysis of XRD diffraction patterns.
