Turbidite sands in Hole 1118A are thicker and more abundant than in other holes, particularly below ~700 mbsf. Facies letters are provided adjacent to the columns. Very fine grained sand could not be distinguished from silt and fine-grained sand on the FMS images, so is not recognized as a separate sediment grade.
